ICAPP Update (25-31): Appointment of the New Secretary-General of the ICAPP Secretariat

Dear Distinguished Members of the ICAPP Standing Committee,

Following the recent resignation of Hon. Kwon Hee-seog from the position of Secretary-General of the ICAPP Secretariat, who had served since July 1, 2023. I’d like to recommend the appointment of Hon. Oh Song, as the new Secretary-General as of June 23, 2025.

The newly nominated Secretary General had served as Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Mongolia and to the Portuguese Republic. His curriculum vitae is attached herewith.

In accordance with Para 1, Article 13 of the ICAPP Charter, the appointment shall be subject to confirmation at the 13^th General Assembly to be held next year in November 2026. Until then, with your consent, Ambassador Oh will be in charge of the general management of the Secretariat. In this regard, I’d like to request the SC Members to kindly respond to the above proposal for the appointment of the new Secretary-General at their earliest convenience, but no later than June 27, 2025.
