ICAPP Update (15-33)

Dear Distinguished Members of the ICAPP Standing Committee,

In continuation of the ICAPP Update 15-29 of July 28, 2015, this is to inform you that seven countries, i.e. Australia, Cambodia, Japan, Republic of Korea, Nepal, Philippines and Sri Lanka, have so far agreed to co-sponsor the draft resolution to invite the ICAPP to the work of the U.N. General Assembly (UNGA).

In this regard, the Mission of Cambodia to the U.N., in close coordination of the Mission of the Republic of Korea, is planning to submit the letter to the U.N. Secretariat by the end of this week to request to include the draft resolution on the agenda of the 70th session of the UNGA.

The SC Members, whose governments are yet to confirm their position to co-sponsor the draft resolution, are requested to recommend their respective governments to give instructions to their Missions in New York as soon as possible.
