ICAPP Update (14-15)

Dear Distinguished Members of the ICAPP Standing Committee,

Attached is the revised program of the 22nd Meeting of the ICAPP Standing Committee to be held in Vladivostok during May 30-June 1, 2014.

As shown in the program, there will be an informal round-table session from 18:30 to 19:45 prior to the welcoming dinner on May 30 at the request of the United Russia Party. The topics for the session will be the current situation in Ukraine, Russia's relations with the EU and the US, and the eastern vector of Russia's foreign policy. After brief presentations by Russian participants on the topics, there will be informal exchange of views among SC Members.

In this regard, the Secretariat takes the liberty of attaching an article contributed by Hon. Sergei Lavrov, Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation, under the title of "the Rise of Asia and the Eastern Vector of Russia's Foreign Policy", to the July-September, 2006 issue of Russia in Global Affairs (Vol. 4, No. 3). Also attached is the brief introduction of Primorsky Territory in the Russian Far East.
