ICAPP Update (14-27)

Dear Distinguished Members of the ICAPP Standing Committee,

Some SC Members have recommended to issue a statement in the name of the ICAPP Standing Committee on the recent situation in the Gaza Strip. In this regard, SC Members are requested to review the attached draft statement prepared by the Secretariat, and make their comments as soon as possible, and not later than July 29.

Also attached are the statement made by the U.N. on July 27 and the resolution adopted by the U.N. Human Rights Commission on July 23 regarding the situation.

In this regard, we have also received today a request from the APA Secretariat, based in Tehran, to issue a joint ICAPP-APA statement on the situation, as can be seen in the attached letter of July 26.
