ICAPP Update (14-05)

Dear Distinguished Members of the ICAPP Standing Committee,

This is to inform you that the United Russia Party (URP) has recently indicated its interest in hosting the 22nd Meeting of the ICAPP Standing Committee in Vladivostok during the first half of this year. Accordingly an ICAPP Mission, composed of myself and Hon. Dr. Asaf Hajiyev, Head of the International Department of the Yeni Azerbaijan Party, visited Moscow and met with Hon. Dr. Andrey A. Klimov, Deputy Chairman of the Committee on International Affairs of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation and Chairman of the International Relations Department of the URP, on Feb. 25 to discuss details about the 22nd SC meeting.

Dr. Klimov confirmed the willingness of the URP to host the next SC meeting in Vladivostok. The dates for the meeting have not been decided yet due to recent developments in the international situation, but will soon be confirmed after internal consultation within the URP. It was also agreed that the SC meeting will be held not later than mid June this year.

Further details of the 22nd SC Meeting will be provided in due course.
