ICAPP Update (12-25)

Dear Members of the ICAPP Standing Committee,

The Secretariat has received the following two messages from the

office of Hon. Jose de Venecia, Founding Chairman and Co-Chairman of

the ICAPP Standing Committee, dated May 9 and June 11 respectively,

regarding the invitation to the Members of the ICAPP Standing

Committee from the CAPDI, Centrist Asia Pacific Democrats

International, to attend the 2nd CAPDI General Assembly in Makassar,

Indonesia during February 13-14, 2013.

We were also informed that a seven-member delegation of the CAPDI, led

by Hon. Jusuf Kalla, Chairman and Former Vice President of Indonesia,

would like to attend the 17th SC Meeting as observers.

Greetings from Manila!

Following Hon. Jose de Venecia's letter/message below, please be

informed that CAPDI officers and representatives of Former Indonesian

Vice President and CAPDI Chairman Jusuf Kalla, who will host the 2nd

CAPDI General Assembly in Makassar on 13-14 February 2013, will attend

the 17th ICAPP Standing Committee Meeting in Baku, Azerbaijan to

personally invite ICAPP SC Members to the said Makassar conference.

In this regard, may we request that an official letter of invitation

be sent to them ( dini_2593@hotmail.com ; erwin@bosowa.co.id ) for

Visa purposes, or arrange the issuance of their Visas upon arrival in

Baku. We will also request them to send you their passport information

and flight itinerary.

"H.E. Co-Chairman and Secretary General Chung Eui-yong, ICAPP

H.E. Sen. Mushahid Hussain Sayed, CAPDI Secretary-General and Special

Rapporteur, ICAPP

Dear Friends,

Thank you for your outstanding performances at our Timor Leste Conference.

We proceeded on for further talks in Bali, Makassar in South Sulawesi,

and Jakarta with former Indonesian Vice-President Jusuf Kalla, CAPDI

Chairman joining us in Jakarta, and CAPDI officials former MP Yasril

Ananta Baharuddin and our International Treasurer Erwin Aksa, who is

also Treasurer of Golkar and President of Indonesia's Young

 Entrepreneur Association.

We inspected the premises and facilities in Makassar, where they will

host and agreed to hold the 2nd CAPDI General Assembly there on

February 13-14, 2013. CAPDI will invite ICAPP's Standing Committee to

Makassar to consider its SC meeting there, to be hosted by CAPDI.

President Yudhoyono of Indonesia, largest Muslim nation and a member

of G-20, will keynote the CAPDI General Asembly

On the scheduled ICAPP 7th General Assembly in Baku Azerbaijan in

November, 2012, may I request that it be held at anytime between

November 1-25, 2012, as I have speaking engagements in the U.S.

principally in Atlanta, Georgia, November 29 - December 1, 2012.

For Excellency, Asaf, please send us materials and photos of the

President, the Deputy Chairman, yourself and others including articles

on Azerbaijan, its economy, hydro carbons development, role in

Euro-Asia, and Nagorno Karabakh etc., to be published in the popular

BizNews Asia in time for the June 22 meeting in Baku, as suggested by

you . BizNews Asia publisher-editor, Tony Lopez, was with us in Dili.
