ICAPP Updates
URGENT ICAPP Update (12-35) Dear Members of the ICAPP Standing Committee, With regard to the plan to send the ICAPP Mission to Myanmar during August 10-12, 2012, the meeting with the leaders of the National League for Democracy, including its Chairperson, Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, has been confirmed for Friday, August 10 at 5:30 p.m. in Nay Pyi Taw. The meetings with the leaders of the governing Union Solidarity and Development are expected to take place on Saturday, August 11 in Nay Pyi Taw. Therefore, the members of the ICAPP Mission to Myanmar are requested to arrive in Yangon by early morning of August 10, or preferably by the evening of Thursday, August 9. All members are required to obtain entry visas to Myanmar prior to their arrival in the country. More details about other arrangements will be provided in due course. In this regard, in order to make necessary arrangements, including the hotel reservations and domestic transportation, the SC Members are requested to confirm their participation in the mission not later than July 25, together with the names and titles of their accompanying delegates and flight itineraries. Please be advised that the Secretariat won't be able to guarantee to make necessary arrangements for the SC Members who fail to confirm their participation by July 25. Attached are the list of SC Members who have indicated their willingness to participate so far and the tentative program of the ICAPP Mission to Myanmar.
